They were one of the quieter couples in Hollywood, but staying relatively low-key and out of the spotlight hasn't appeared to save the marriage between actress/singer Mandy Moore and her husband, singer Ryan Adams.

According to E! News, the couple has quietly gone their separate ways after six years of marriage, and much like their marriage, their divorce isn't expected to be a messy or heavily focused on one.

"Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years," the couple's reps said in a joint statement. "It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

Moore, 30, and Adams, 40, married in Savannah, Ga. on March 10, 2009. They have no children together.

Their relationship was always one that never received too much spotlight recognition, because the couple preferred to keep things low-key and more private.

Moore even said back in 2010 that there wasn't much to talk about concerning the pair, calling them "big homebodies" who "never want to leave the house."

However, she said at the time that she never doubted she was loved by her husband, saying, "I feel very supported and loved and at peace. My life has reached this really beautiful point where I can sort of look around and go, 'Wow, I'm so lucky.' I got my own little happy ending."

Adams has also been very private about his marriage, hanging up during a call-in interview with an Australian radio show after he was pressed to provide details about his marriage.
