After he saw no play during the preseason, the New York Jets will put backup quarterback Tim Tebow on the field this Sunday.

Jets coach Rex Ryan said fans can expect to see Tebow used in the wildcat offense formation when the Jets meet the Buffalo Bills this weekend.

"I think if we don't, everybody's going to be like, 'Wait a second. You guys have been saying things about this wildcat and we haven't even seen one snap of it,"' Ryan said. "But, sure we're going to run some wildcat, there's no doubt."

The Jets have kept the team's tricky formations under wraps and hidden from the media. Leading up to Sunday's game, Tebow played coy with reporters and didn't spill any details.

"We'll see when Buffalo gets here," Tebow said with a smile.

Ryan acknowledged the buzz surrounding Tebow, but the most important thing to the team is his strengths as an athlete and his contributions to the whole.

"I understand where it has come from," Ryan said. "Tim, forget just being a popular football player. He's a popular person. I can understand that there's a lot of interest there, but it's kind of funny, really. We're just trying to field a good football team and in any way possible."

Tim isn't the only Tebow keeping busy this week. His mother, Pam Tebow, is slated to be the guest speaker at a $75-per-person fundraiser in Amarillo, Texas, on Wednesday. Her talk will benefit the Texas Panhandle Independent Futures Foundation, which offers housing and care to disabled young adults.
