Sean "Jay-Z" Carter took Beyonce and their daughter Blue Ivy to the South of France to celebrate the actress/singer's 31st birthday on Tuesday, Sept. 4.

The pair, dubbed Hip-hop's First Couple by fans worldwide, was photographed relaxing on a luxury yacht in the Mediterranean Sea with their eight-month-old.

The "Love on Top" singer is seen without makeup, walking around barefoot while holding a wine glass ,and sporting a pair of shorts and a nautical sweater. In some photos she is looking at out sea through a pair of binoculars.

The 42-year-old music mogul is seen holding their daughter, talking into a walkie talkie, and in one image, Blue Ivy, their only child, is trying to pry the object away from her father's hands. The photos are rare; the couple usually has their daughter covered up when they have her out in public.

The couple was in Philadelphia two days prior to attend Jay- Z's Made in America Festival. The two-day event, which began Saturday, Sept. 1, featured electrifying performances including Jay-Z's highly-publicized show with Kanye West in the City of Brotherly Love.

The first day of the concert featured musical performances that ranged from D'Angelo, Skrillex, Janelle Monae and Jay Electronica.

However, day two was said to be equally impressive, as there were also appearances by Rita Ora, Pearl Jam and Drake.
