TVGuide reported on Thursday that the three will be together again later on in the season.

The previous crossover followed a case of kidnapped minors who were forced into sex-trafficking.

"It's a real good one. Big swings, big stakes. There's nothing really cemented yet, but we're definitely doing a big, big Chicago fire-SVU-Chicago PD three-way crossover coming up around episode 20," showrunner Matt Olmstead told the site.

Olmstead also revealed that he flew to New York last week to meet with SVU's showrunner Warren Leight to discuss plot details.

"There's a Ted Bundy-esque character who hunted in New York and hunted in Chicago, and it's the pursuit of a character like that," he said.

The first three-way crossover was simply a preliminary to see how well it would do and the next one will have "more integrated storytelling" going back and forth between two citites.

TVGuide shared a synopsis for the three-way crossover:

"The case begins on Chicago Fire when the team battles a house fire and Severide sees a man run into the burning building to get a mysterious box. The box appears to contain child pornography, and P.D.'s Voight and Lindsay are called in to investigate."

Chicago Fire airs Tuesdays at 10/9c, Law & Order: SVU airs Wednesdays at 9/8c, and Chicago P.D. airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
