Imagine this image of Selena Gomez: while constantly wearing a bikini, she goes on a "drink-and drug-fuelled orgy" full of beach parties and summer fun with her teenage girlfriends, surrounded by drug dealers, mobsters and topless girls.

This is exactly what Gomez does in her new "raunchy and raucous" film "Spring Breakers," according to the Chicago Tribune.

The movie premiered at the Venice film festival on Wednesday, Sept. 5, and also stars fellow Disney actress Vanessa Hudgens. The film is about four college students and friends on their spring break vacation, and the wild antics they get involved in.

The former Disney star, who had her own television show, "Wizards of Waverly Place," is taking a new turn in "Breakers," choosing a provocative role that her young fans might not even be allowed to watch in movie theaters.

"Obviously I know that coming from Disney Channel gives you kind of a brand in a way," Gomez, 20, told reporters in Venice after the movie was screened. "People do put a label on you. I know that I have younger fans, and this is an opportunity for myself to kind of grow. It is a little shocking, I think, for the younger audiences ... but I think it was right for me."

Gomez may be growing up on the big screen, but she is still in a "young love" relationship with Justin Bieber, who is younger than her, at the age of 18.

Her character in the new movie, Faith, is reported to be the less scandalous out of the group of friends, but nevertheless, Gomez is obviously not shown all covered up and acting like the good girl she played on the Disney Channel.

"Spring Breakers" does not mark the first film for the singer/actress. Gomez starred in "Monte Carlo," "Another Cinderella Story" and "Ramona and Beezus," among many other films.

"Spring Breakers" also stars James Franco, who has been in similar drug-infested and booze-drinking films like "Pineapple Express."
