Jussie Smollett To Stop being Good Guy On 'Empire', Set To 'Become Exactly Who Did Not Want To Be'

Jussie Smollett revealed that things only heat up and "get more complicated" in the episode.

"It's just so many secrets and so many lies. This is the point where they're slowly starting to choke on all that dirt."

Taraji P. Henson Reveals Actor Who Was Originally Cast As Lucious Lyon, 'Empire' Renewed For Season 2

One of the major coverups that Lucious attempts to hide is shooting and killing his best friend in the first episode. A detective arrives at Empire and asks Lucious for an alibi of where he was during the time of the murder. Andre goes as far as covering for his father and says they were together "watching a Mayweather fight."

Terrence Howard, who plays Lucious, explained why he believes Andre covered for him.

"I think he's trying to thrive for Lucious' favor and his trust. It may lead to a great moment or it may lead to a very bad ending."

Cookie and Anika also bump heads even more in False Imposition as Cookie starts managing Jamal and Tiana. But Lucious stands behind Cookie, who Howard calls "the real monster."

Taraji P. Henson, who portrays Cookie, reassured viewers that while Cookie was locked up for 17 years, she definitely knows her stuff about music and business.

"Lucious again is coming around. He's seeing the old Cookie."

But at the same time, an executive for another record label comes for Lucious and Empire, threatening him if he chooses to go public.

Empire airs Wednesdays at 9/8c on Fox.
