More photos were leaked from the set of HBO's True Detective this week.

Find Out When HBO Will Release The First Trailer For New Season Of 'True Detective'

On Saturday the fan site True Detective Rumors revealed that the latest paparazzi images focus on actor Taylor Kitsch, who is set to play Officer Paul Woodrugh this season.

Kitsch was seen carrying a football on set, though it's uncertain whether the ball was a prop or simply a way to kill time between takes.

Why 'True Detective' Is Great For Colin Farrell's Career

This is the second time this month that the actor has been spotted on set in Los Angeles. Last week a separate batch of leaked photos showed Kitsch standing with co-star Vince Vaughn, who will play career criminal Frank Semyon. Perhaps the two will be scheming together, or are even involved in the show's central death.

The new episodes will follow the murder of a city manager in California, with highly secretive creator Nic Pizzolatto penning all of the episodes. The show's leading cast will include Vaughn and Kitsch, plus Rachel McAdams as Detective Ani Bezzerides and Colin Farrell as Detective Ray Velcoro. This is double the number of key players featured in season 1, which focused on Matthew McConaughey Rust Cohle and Woody Harrelson's Marty Hart. The second season will also include multiple directors, which will likely alter the tone left by season 1's Emmy-winner Cary Fukunaga.

True Detective will return on HBO for a second season mid-2015.
