Terminator: Genisys Is A "Reset" That "Shifts The Course Of Everything"

An inside source confirmed this fact to the fanzine for Terminator.

Recently, the website also revealed that Schwarzenegger's aged T-800 will deter his younger self from sticking to his mission i.e. killing Sarah Connor (Emlia Clarke) in Terminator: Genisys.

This will be a very exciting twist for fans of the franchise, to watch an older Schwarzenegger take down his original self. It is known that the movie will involve time jumps and that the older T-800 will be a guardian to Sarah, protecting her since she is a child. In the trailer of Genisys, we got a glimpse of both versions of Schwarzenegger, both younger and older. This interesting bit of news was revealed to Terminator Fans by an inside source.

The first official look at the movie was revealed in Entertainment Weekly in October. In the excerpts available online it is revealed that Sarah of Genisys will actually be quite different from the Sarah fans have known until now. She will not be a diffident waif, who is completely thrown by the Terminator tracking her and clueless about her destiny as John Connor's (Jason Clarke) mother and the war against Skynet. The new Sarah Connor will be aware of her destiny since she is 9 years of age and will be raised by an older T-800, played by Schwarzenegger.

Co-producer David Ellison dished about this aspect of Sarah's character.

"Since she was 9 years old, she has been told everything that was supposed to happen," Ellison said. "But Sarah fundamentally rejects that destiny. She says, 'That's not what I want to do.' It's her decision that drives the story in a very different direction."

Terminator: Genisys is scheduled to release in July 2015.
