The final season of Justified premiered last Tuesday and already has a body count.

'Justified's Damon Herriman Talks His Character's Death & More

Actor Damon Herriman who plays the now deceased Dewey Crowe opened up, in a video that was uploaded to the Justified YouTube Channel last Wednesday, all about his beloved character

Herriman feels as though Dewey "hasn't matured" at all on the series, but thinks he has had "more contemplative moments."

'Justified' Creator Shares Why Dewey Crowe Needed To Die & More

"I think early on Dewey was pretty much only a kind of comic relief buffoon and he's still that. You actually see him in sort of a-in the last couple of seasons in more darker moments than you would have earlier on," Herriman dished.

Herriman also mentioned his initial thoughts on learning how his character would die.

"It was really sad. I mean when you play a character for that long you become very attached to them and it was really sad. I thought the writers did such an incredible job with that episode and with Dewey's story in that episode. I couldn't be disappointed because it was the perfect way for Dewey to go," Herriman said.

The actor revealed he requested some props from set of the FX crime drama, including the turtle dog.

"I have requested the necklace and the turtle dog," he gushed, adding, "They won't give it to me yet because they haven't finished shooting this season and there's certain rules about giving away property."

Justified airs on Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on FX.
