Tension will rise between Klaus and Hayley this week as they disagree on how to protect their child on The Originals.

Freya Might Be An 'Ally' For Marcel & Klaus On 'The Originals' This Season 

In the previous episode Klaus (Joseph Morgan) learned that Hayley (Phoebe Tonkin) might divulge that their daughter Hope (Alexandria Collins) is still alive during her marriage ceremony to Jackson (Nathan Parsons) in order to protect her people. Fiercely protective of the child, Klaus will stop at nothing to keep her from revealing their secret.

While both parents fear for Hope's safety, it is obvious that they disagree on what could be done as they try to make New Orleans safe for their child. Their goal is ultimately for Hope to live freely and without fear, though this is easier said than done.

'The Originals' Explores Marcel's War-Torn Past 

"Don't you get it," warned an angry Hayley to Klaus during The CW preview (featured below), which was released by the network on Monday. "You're the threat, Klaus."

Is Hope's own father a danger to her? Does his life threaten her own? It is certainly Klaus' enemies, not Hayley's, which pose great danger to the child.

Hayley's context may not be fully clear, but the sentiment is. It looks like the truce which has stood between the hybrid parents this season is about to break. The only question is which of their allies will side with the original and which will reside with the wolf queen.

The Originals continues on The CW with its second season Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT.
