Their newly-wedded bliss has been interrupted several times by truly hilarious obstacles, but something serious could come between Mel and Joe on Melissa & Joey.

Now that they've settled into their new life as a married couple and have adjusted to the relationship between Mel's niece Lennox (Taylor Spreitler) and Joe's nephew Marco (Kevin Fonteyne), as well as Joe's daughter Dani (Jada Facer) moving in, Mel (Melissa Joan Hart) and Joe (Joey Lawrence)are ready to move on and be happy with their newlywed life. But things won't work quite so well for long.

In a preview clip for the Jan. 28 episode, it appears that Joe is ready for the two of them to start a family of their own-but Mel isn't. And despite saying he wouldn't pressure her, it seems as if Joe may be doing just that by inviting a new couple (guest star Tamara Mowry-Housley) and their newborn baby over.

"No more baby pressure from me," Joe promises Mel in the clip.

But when Mel comes home and sees Joe standing there holding his friend's baby-pressured could be exactly how she feels.

"What a pressure baby....precious....baby," she says in the clip.

Naturally the situation could lead to an argument between the newlyweds, and their happily ever after could wind up dealing with its first explosive fight-and the aftermath could prove to be something that brings a hard blow and cruel reality check to their romance.

Melissa and Joey airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on ABC Family.
