It seems that Babies Making Babies off Lambert's 2014 Platinum album is no different. During a recent behind-the-scenes look at the song (featured below), the star discussed why she feels this message is so important.

Babies Making Babies follows the unplanned pregnancy of a young couple in a small town, blending Lambert's country style with her desire to bring to light a real subject which impacts people across the country.

Lyrics have always been important to Lambert, who has always trusted her talents as a songwriter more than her talents as a singer. At the age of 17 she first discovered songwriter and found herself completely invested in developing that skill.

"It felt like the first thing that had ever come naturally to me…" Lambert told Gibson during an interview on Jan. 4. "It's truly something I had in my blood."

Lambert began her 2015 Certified Platinum Tour on Thursday, Jan. 15 and will continue performing over the next few months before meeting up with husband and fellow country artist Blake Shelton at the Big Barrel Country Festival In Delaware. Shelton is currently filming a new season for NBC's The Voice before starting his own tour this spring.
