Some new horrors are headed to Showtime's Penny Dreadful this season.

Makeup Designer and Key Prosthetic Makeup Artist Sarita Allison, who helped design looks for Ethan Chandler (Josh Hartnett) and Victoria Frankenstein's (Harry Treadaway) creature Caliban (Rory Kinnear), teased some pretty shocking prosthetic work this week. The makeup artist revealed that the new face she's designed won't necessarily be "pretty" when it makes its debut onscreen.

  New Character Coming To 'Penny Dreadful' For Final Episodes 

Allison had mentioned this character on Twitter Monday, warnings fans that they might feel sorry for this new character.

So who's this newcomer? And what has made them look so devastating? Cast and crew have revealed little of Broadway star Patti LuPone's role on the series this season, which means it's possible she is this new character. Or if could be someone else entirely.

Fans will just have to wait to find out.

Penny Dreadful will return on Showtime for a second season on April 26 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.
