It's a mystery that has plagued the FBI profiler since the pilot, and the post Super Bowl episode will begin to set Liz (Megan Boone) up for a few answers.

"That is a question that we're going to continue to explore with the nature of their relationship, how they're connected and what happened so many years ago," executive producer Jon Bokenkamp informed Entertainment Weekly. "That is something that we're going to talk about in the second part of the Super Bowl two-parter, ["Luther Braxton: Conclusion"], and it will continue to affect their relationship. The discoveries that Liz will make in the second part of the Super Bowl episode will have real ramifications on their relationship moving forward."

Utilizing scattered flashbacks, the NBC drama will slowly piece together the intertwining pieces of Liz and Red's (James Spader) stories. Expect information of Liz's childhood fire to come to the fore, perhaps explaining what role Red may have had in the blaze.
