Taystee (Danielle Brooks) will go through several emotions on the upcoming third season of Netflix's Orange Is the New Black.

Brooks recently spoke with Entertainment Weekly about what was ahead for Taystee, including her reaction to the death of Vee (Lorraine Toussaint). While some will undoubtedly be glad to learn that Vee was run over by a car (driven by Rosa, no less!), Taystee is not so celebratory.

"It's very emotional," Brooks said. "It catches [Taystee] off guard."

However, it doesn't seem like she will wallow in the sadness of having lost her mentor from earlier in life. She may be going on an emotional roller coaster in the upcoming season.

"She definitely goes on another journey with growing pains," Brooks revealed. "We'll find out if she falls in love or if she doesn't."

Taystee has not had a specific love interest in prison from what we've seen, having rejected best friend Poussey's (Samira Wiley) advances in the second season. It remains to be seen if Taystee will give in and fall in love with Poussey, but she has said in the past that she doesn't "go that way."

Regardless, Brooks has plenty to celebrate having just come off a big win at the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards. She and the cast of Orange Is the New Black took home trophies for Best Comedy Series Ensemble, beating the cast of four-time defending champion Modern Family (ABC) as well as the casts of The Big Bang Theory (CBS), Brooklyn Nine-Nine (Fox) and Veep (HBO).

Orange Is the New Black returns for season 3 in mid-2015 on Netflix, though the streaming network has not yet announced an official release date.
