The farewell episode for Adam Pally's Peter Prentice in The Mindy Project is coming a new sneak peek video shows that it is going to be very emotional.

On Friday, E! News shared the sneak peek video of The Mindy Project's goodbye to one of the fan-favorite doctor characters.

The February 3rd episode of the show will be the one where fans will have to say goodbye, but for a good reason.

It appears that the reason for Peter's leaving might be because he is going to get his happily ever-after with Lauren and her son, Henry, as they get the chance to move to Texas.

"It's our farewell episode to Peter Prentice," Mindy Kaling said in the video. "He makes a big, bold life decision based on love, and it's really cool."

At his farewell party, Peter says that Mindy "means so much to him." He also announces he is "officially quitting Schulman & Associates and moving to Texas."

Last November, E! News reported that Pally would no long be a regular on the show, but will be in some of the episodes throughout the spring season.

"When Adam come onto the show, we actually knew this for a year and a half," Kaling said. "That had always been our plan, but America didn't know until a couple of months ago. But the thing that's great about Adam is we have a farewell episode for him, but he's actually in several episodes before the end of the year. If you didn't know he was going...he's in quite a bit of the episodes after his farewell. It's not a cold turkey situation!

The Mindy Project airs Tuesdays at 9:30 p.m. on Fox.
