The actress is another year older, and of course her birthday wouldn't be special without her BFF and wife, Ellen DeGeneres.

DeGeneres took to Twitter to wish her wife a very special happy birthday, and it's clear that the duo couldn't be any closer.

It's clear that the talk show host and her beau are a match made in heaven. DeGeneres and her wife are only five days apart and both celebrated birthdays last week.

The comedian celebrated her 57th birthday on Jan. 26, just five days prior to de Rossi's special day.

The dynamic duo celebrated DeGeneres's birthday with beautiful makeup free selfies and special birthday messages.

Both DeGeneres and de Rossi shared photos of them posing on the beach watching the sunset.

DeGeneres had just one birthday wish- the talk show host asked President Obama, Oprah & the CIA to make her birthday a national holiday, but if she doesn't get it her wish, it's safe to say that having her wife by her side is the best present she's ever received.

Aside from both of them celebrating their birthdays last week, de Rossi announced the return of the show Scandal where she plays the role of Elizabeth North, the chairwoman of the Republic National Committee.

Viewers can see more of the actress on her show Scandal every Thursday night at 9 p.m. on ABC, and DeGeneres on The Ellen Show on NBC.
