There's been potential hints about a marriage full of problems between Meri and Kody Brown on Sister Wives, but it appears any denials by the Brown family were all just to keep a huge secret-that Meri and Kody are actually divorced!

Kody Gets Majorly Criticised For New Comments

According to Starcasm, Kody and his first (previously only legal wife) actually made a joint decision to file for divorce last year-and a divorce record appears to confirm that the two did end their marriage and finalized the whole process back on September 25.

However, making the story even more shocking, it appears Kody dipped into his pool of other wives and bypassed Janelle and Christine in an effort to make Robyn his new legal wife-and more documents have since surfaced which appear to show that the two were legally named man and wife on Dec. 11-less than three months after his and Meri's divorce was finalized.

Can Kody and Christine Put Their Differences Aside?

The family has yet to comment on the news, but they have made no qualms about seeming to deny any problems in their familial structure or marriages-with Meri even defending her decision to be in a plural marriage back in November, after a critic called her out for staying with Kody after he later chose to take on three more wives after her.

Rumors also began surfacing that there was dissatisfaction in the marriage after Meri revealed during season five that she occasionally resented being the first wife in a plural marriage, after the family went to meet fellow polygamists, the Richard family.

"I'm happy on the good days and Kody shows love and affection , but on a bad day, I question my importance to the family and if Kody still cares about me," she admitted at the time.

Since the news broke, fans have flooded the show's Facebook page, demanding answers about the situation.

It is unclear if answers will be provided in the current batch of episodes airing on TLC, or if they will address what is going on during the expected reunion show.
