On Monday, HollywoodLife reported that Zedd and Gomez will be attending the Grammys together after years of Bieber and Gomez never attending the annual awards ceremony.

This would make it their first public event together, which seems to be a big deal since rumors have yet to be confirmed that the two are actually dating.

Apparently the fact that this would be their first event together and that Bieber never attended the Grammys with Gomez in the past, is what makes it a big deal for the alleged couple.

"Zedd wants to make his relationship with Selena official, and he wants the Grammys to be their first official public event together. Selena is definitely open to this and loves that he's the one taking charge of the relationship. She loves that he wants to claim her as his own, something Justin was so up and down about," a source told the publication.

HollywoodLife previously reported that Zedd had wanted Gomez to be his Grammy Awards date, but she was hesitant.

"Zedd wants Selena to be his date, which is so sweet, but she's torn because she's not sure if she wants to go that public with him yet. Selena loves keeping people guessing, especially Justin," a source revealed.
