The match will take place on the court of Flushing Meadows Park in Queens, N.Y. Djokovic is the defending champion and if Murray wins, it will be his first major at the Grand Slam title.

Monday's game is Murray's fifth time playing in the Grand Slam finals. He won the Olympic gold in London this summer, hitting out Djokovic and Federer in the semifinals and then in the finals, according to the official site of the U.S. Open.

When Roger Federer lost, Djokovic became the new favorite to win the championship. He went against Juan del Porto earlier in the tournament, who brought the new retiring Andy Roddick's career to an end. It was del Potro that defeated Djokovic for the bronze medal at the Olympics.

The report on the upcoming game, posted on the U.S. Open's official site, called Djokovic "a slightly better all-around player on hard courts, even though Murray has improved his forehand a ton, it does not have the weight or the depth of the Serbian's."

The winner is to be determined on the courts on Monday, stay tuned.
