Chris Brown and Rihanna have an incredibly rocky past, which is apparently making his ex not want him around at the Grammys this year.

The former couple first met in 2005 and a friendship blossomed, which led to their romantic interests in each other. It was heavily speculated that they began dating in 2007, but they really didn't confirm anything until the following year.

Unfortunately in 2009, TMZ reported Brown had an altercation with her, which led to his probation, which was fairly recently revoked.

Anyway, the former couple has quite the history especially after being on and off even after the 2009 altercation.

Rihanna is set to perform at this year's Grammys on Feb. 8 alongside Paul McCartney and Kanye West. A source revealed to Hollywood Life Thursday that the FourFiveSeconds singer doesn't want Brown to attend since she fears all focus will be on him and her instead of her performance with two other talented artists.

"She has a big performance and she wants it to be her night," the source said.

"She doesn't want it to be dominated by everyone leaving the show talking about Chris and Rihanna in the same building. The Grammys are about the celebration of music and Rihanna has a job to do, she wants it to be drama free so she wants Chris not to be there," the source added.

The site revealed that Rihanna hasn't reached out to Brown to talk about how she's feeling about the upcoming music celebration.

"She will not tell him personally but feelers have been sent out that she doesn't want him there and hopefully he will listen," the source revealed.

There has been no word from Brown or his camp on whether he'll be in attendance or not.
