"Dancing with the Stars" judge Carrie Ann Inaba has ended her engagement to fiance Jesse Sloan, her representative has confirmed.

Inaba and Sloan, who is an accountant, ended their more than one year engagement this summer, according to the rep.

"They decided early in the summer to break off their engagement and have remained friends," a rep for the reality TV judge told Access Hollywood.

Sloan famously proposed to Inaba in March 2011 on "Live! With Regis and Kelly" when Inaba was co-hosting the show.

With the help of Regis and the staff in the studio Sloan surprised Inaba, coming on stage with violinists and an engagement ring. He kneeled and took Inaba's hand as she seemed in complete shock.

"I've struggled to find the words to express what you mean to me. You're an inspiration, you're beautiful, you're wonderful, you're everything to me. Will you marry me?" Sloan told Inaba as she cried.

"Yes I will marry you," she replied excitedly. A video of the proposal has been posted on YouTube and is one of the most popular searches for Inaba.

The couple met on the dating site eHarmony.

Inaba will return to TV on September 24 with "Dancing with the Stars: All Stars"; the first ever all-star cast made up of past "DWTS" contestants and winners.

The stars will return for another shot at the coveted mirror-ball trophy and those battling it out will include Bristol Palin, Drew Lachey, Shawn Johnson and Joey Fatone. Palin, Emmitt Smith and Kristie Alley will be pairing up with their original professional dancing partners. Cheryl Burke has won two "DWTS" trophies and three of her past partners will be competing in the new season.
