Britney Spears steered clear of any booze as she traveled the country judging auditions for "The X Factor," and her team made sure she wasn't tempted.

The pop star's team made sure every ounce of alcohol was removed from any hotel room where Spears stayed during her journey, Us Weekly reported.

A hotel rider for Spears instructed hotels to keep her rooms clear of any liquor whatsoever.

"Very important: We require you to empty the minibars of all alcohol. And no gifts of wine or any other alcoholic beverages, please," the rider said.

The report leads to questions about whether Spears' team and her father, who controls the 30-year-old singer under a conservatorship, made the decision for her regarding no alcohol, especially considering recent reports about a mental disorder that affects Spears' personality and state of mind.

Spears has a "serious medical issue that prevents her from making consistently sound decisions," according to a report from TMZ.

Despite the medical issue, Spears has been operating at her fullest capacity as a judge for "The X Factor," according to the show's creator, Simon Cowell.

"She's very unpredictable," Cowell told reporters during a conference call. "She has taken this very seriously and she's surprisingly quite mean."

Cowell added that Spears is a tough judge who isn't afraid to reject contestants she doesn't think have the spark required to become a superstar.

"In the past we've had judges that never say no. [Spears] can't say no quick enough on this show. She's quite difficult to please," Cowell said.
