Mercedes (Amber Riley) and new student Roderick (Noah Guthrie) are slated to take on the booty-friendly song that shot up the charts in 2014. The pair will be performing the song in the next episode of Glee, which is titled Transitioning.

Glee has performed their fair share of popular, modern-day songs in their six seasons; it remains to be seen if Mercedes and Roderick's cover of All About That Bass will stand out as a highlight of the final season. Either way, fans can check it out early by heading to Billboard.

With six episodes having aired of the final season, Glee has really struggled in the ratings compared to the previous five years. While the series has gone down significantly since the first few seasons, it is continuing to hit new lows as the series finale draws near.

The latest episode, titled What the World Needs Now, hit a series low of 1.57 million viewers and a 0.5 in the age 18-49 demographic. Assuming this weren't the final season, Fox would likely be canceling it by the end of the season with ratings so low, but luckily diehard fans will be able to see it through to its natural conclusion.

Glee airs Fridays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Fox.
