LeAnn Rimes might no longer be one of the biggest pop stars in the entertainment world, but she sure does want to remind her fans about her successful past. There is new speculation that the country singer might have "thrown some shade" at singer Katy Perry in a post she shared on her Instagram account before The Grammys this past weekend.

LeAnn Rimes Reportedly Insults Her 11-Year-Old Stepson In New Interview

In a throwback photo that she shared of herself when she was 14, Rimes wrote, "Before @katyperry shot whipped cream from her cones, I had a pair of my own. #14 #whatwereyoudoingat14 #stillsurreal #goodlucktoallthisyearsnominees #momtoomanycurlsandtoomuchhairspray #flashbackfriday".

While there are some who think that Rimes didn't intentionally "diss" Perry in her post, others believe that the message was rather passive-aggressive as well.

LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian Slam Brandi Glanville In Their New Reality Television Show

This isn't the first time Rimes has been accused of insulting someone while boasting about her past. Just last month, the singer hinted that Eddie Cibrian's two sons aren't talented nor driven enough like she was at their age.

In Touch Weekly reported Rimes as saying back in December, "I was super-driven as a kid. Even though I was on the road a lot, the teachers would give me homework and I would get it all done. I look at my 11-year-old stepson Mason, and I'm like, 'I signed a record deal when I was your age. You're still fumbling with tying your shoelaces.'"

Rimes later said her words were taken out of context.
