Usher Raymond sat down with media mogul Oprah Winfrey for an exclusive interview to discuss his custody battle. According to OWN, the interview, which has yet to air, will be the singer's first and last time discussing the personal topic.

Winfrey flew to Atlanta to chat with the "Yeah!" singer about many other unaddressed topics as well.

The 58-year-old questioned the multi-Grammy winner in detail about the reports that headlined the past year: the high-profiled bitter custody battle, what caused his breakdown in court and then another on stage at a show in Germany, moving on in a relationship with his manager Grace Miguel and her two sons, and the tragic ski accident that killed his stepson Kile Glover before he won primary custody of his two sons.

The "Oprah's Next Chapter" episode will end with a chat with Usher's mother, Jonetta Patton. For the first time, Patton will reveal why she didn't attend her son's wedding to Tameka Raymond, her thoughts on the custody battle and what led to her reported falling out with her son. Patton managed Raymond's music career but when he was set to marry Tameka, their business relationship ended. The mother and son have since reconciled.

The entire interview will air on Oprah's "Next Chapter" Sunday, September 16, at 9 p.m. ET on OWN. Watch a preview of the interview here:
