The NBA All-Star 2015 festivities are upon us this weekend in New York City.

This weekend is held every February and the very first one was held in 1951 so it's a longtime tradition now. It's a global celebration of the sport.

This year marks the fifth time the NBA All-Star events will be held in New York City. Previously they were held in 1954, 1955, 1968 and 1998.

Friday, Feb. 13, the NBA All-Star Sprint Celebrity Game will be held at Madison Square Garden, marking it as the first time this game will take place in an NBA arena as noted on the NBA's website.

It kicks off at 7 p.m. ET and the following individuals will be out on the court: comedic genius Kevin Hart (three-time MVP); film star Ansel Elgort; Black-ish star Anthony Anderson; Selma's Common; Little League phenom Mo'ne Davis; Arcade Fire's Win Butler; actor Chadwick Boseman; America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon; former NBA All-Star and New York Knicks Assistant General Manager Allan Houston; Basketball Hall of Famer Chris Mullin; gold medal-winning U.S. Paralympic athlete Blake Leeper; actor Michael Rapaport; Memphis Grizzlies owner Robert Pera; NBA TV's NBA Inside Stuff presented by Samsung Galaxy co-host Kristen Ledlow; Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan; and WNBA stars Shoni Schimmel of the Atlanta Dream, Skylar Diggins of the Tulsa Shock and Tina Charles of the New York Liberty.

New York Knicks very own Carmelo Anthony will be coaching along with Spike Lee and ESPN Radio's Mike & Mike hosts Mike Golic and Mike Greenberg. Plus, NBA Cares Ambassador Isaiah Austin will make his All-Star debut as assistant coach.

Other events for the weekend include: Revolt TV Above The Rim, which is also happening at 7 p.m. ET on Friday at Stage 48 (605 West 48th Street) with performances by Nas and Timothy Bloom; Welcome to NY will also happen Friday at Stage 48 with Swizz Beatz and Diddy hosting; at 7:30 p.m. ET Shaquille O'Neal's All-Star Comedy Jam will occur at Beacon Theatre (2124 Broadway).

Floyd Mayweather will host a party at 42 West (514 West 42nd Street) Friday night starting at 10 p.m. ET.

Young Jeezy and Odell Beckham Jr. will also host a party Friday night at 10 p.m. ET at Highline Ballroom (431 West 16th Street).

There is also a Ladies Night event happening at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J. with performances by Jaheim and Tank.

Other events will occur as well leading up to the 64th NBA All-Star Game, which will take place Sunday, Feb. 15 at Madison Square Garden.
