In a recent interview, executive producer of Arrow, Marc Guggenheim spoke about what fans can expect from the upcoming episodes of the CW series, and dished about the fate of Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity's (Emily Bett Rickards) romance in the show.

Ra's Al Ghul Could Die In Season 3 Of Arrow?

Speaking to TVLine, Guggenheim stated that she will put her romance with Oliver behind her, and this might hold also when he is back, even though she will still be with the team.

"She's still with the team. She's not going anywhere, but she's made it very clear that a romance with Oliver is off the table."

Upcoming Episode Is A "Love Letter" To Arrow

He went on to reveal that while she will continue to work with Oliver, she has definitely moved on in the love department. This also might have to do with the fact that she will have a bigger role to play in the team, and has gained influence during Oliver's brief absence.

"We very much want to explore what it looks like with Felicity still working with Oliver but post the events of Episodes 10, 11 and 12, where she has not only moved on romantically, along with Diggle and Roy, has developed a bit more ownership and more agency in the "lair," as it were," he said. "It's going to be interesting to see what happens if Oliver decides to call the shots and expects everyone to just fall in line the way they used to."

The latest episode of the show, Canaries, was released on February 11.
