Another fued has started between two music divas.

Just days after "American Idol" announced Nicki Minaj as one of its new judges, Mariah Carey is already bickering with the 29-year-old rapper. The two divas couldn't even make it through the first taping of the upcoming season of the hit reality show without clashing, TMZ reported. As Minaj started to critique a contestant, she would reportedly be interrupted regularly by her pop diva rival during Sunday's auditions in New York City. That caused Minaj to keep talking louder and louder to drown out Carey, according to the report.

"These girls just don't like each other," an inside source told the gossip site.

The two are part of a new judging panel for the Fox singing competition show, after last season's judges Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler stepped down. The panel also includes newbie Keith Urban and long-time judge Randy Jackson.

TMZ previously reported that when producers called Carey to tell her that Minaj would probably be joining her as a judge, she hung up the phone.

With all the fierce competition they will be facing with other reality singing competitions, the two must step it up soon! "Idol" creator Simon Cowell recently teamed up with pop stars Britney Spears, powerhouse Demi Lovato and L.A. Reid for "The X-Factor."

Meanwhile, NBC's "The Voice" has an all-star lineup of its own with Blake Shelton, Cee-Lo Green, Christina Aguilera and Maroon 5's Adam Levine sitting in their swiveling chairs. Although Aguilera and Levine seemed to have built up tension in the last two seasons, they quickly kissed and made up.

"American Idol" is already off to a bumpy start with the Minaj V.S. Carey feud. However Carey denied the clash. When asked about the tension between the two by photographers, the 42-year-old diva responded: "Tension? What tension?"

"American Idol" returns for the series' 12th season in January.
