Frank Underwood Pisses On His Father's Grave In First Episode?

Recently another teaser featuring Frank and Claire getting their first White House portrait shows the deteriorating dynamic between the two in season 3 of House of Cards.

he teaser was posted on the official Twitter account for the series on February 14, as a dark celebration of Valentine's day. In the 30-second clip the photographer directs Frank to stand behind Claire, who is seated. As he does so, he rests his hand on her shoulder. His monologue relays what's actually going on:

"Today I touched your shoulder, you flinched."

Then in real time he is seen asking her, "Do you prefer I not?"

"What?" Claire asks. At this point the photgrapher interjects stating that where Frank had his hand was perfect for the portrait.

"You recoiled" Frank's voiceover continues. Claire responds by saying he is reading too much into something.

The tension is very evident in their expressions and postures for the picture, and this strongly hints at hard times for the marriage in this chapter.

The third season will premiere on February 27.
