Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Penny (Kaley Cuoco-Sweeting) are set to devise a scheme in an upcoming episode of CBS's The Big Bang Theory.

CBS has released a new plot synopsis for an upcoming episode of The Big Bang Theory titled The Intimacy Acceleration. This episode will feature Sheldon and Penny collaborating on an experiment.

"As a joke, Sheldon and Penny try an experiment designed to make participants fall in love," the plot synopsis reads.

It should be interesting for fans to see these two paired off together away from the others.

"Also, Leonard [Johnny Galecki], Amy [Mayim Bialik], Raj [Kunal Nayyar] and Emily [Laura Spencer] spend the evening trying to escape a room with a 'zombie.'"

Additionally, Howard (Simon Helberg) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) will "run into trouble at the airport" after they return from Mrs. Wolowitz's funeral.

This episode is slated to air on Thursday, Feb. 26 in the regular Big Bang Theory timeslot.

This is a gradual continuation of the next episode to air on Thursday, which features Howard receiving "shocking news." This will inevitably concern the death of his mother, Mrs. Wolowitz, who has never appeared onscreen, only heard offscreen. The actress who played her, Carol Ann Susi, tragically died late last year. This episode will serve as a memorial to her.

The Big Bang Theory airs Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
