Just a few days after Eva Longoria finally confirmed her relationship with New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez, photographers spotted the couple out for a fancy dinner in New York City.

The couple held hands as they exited Daniel's in New York's Upper East Side on Friday night, Sept. 14. Longoria wore a form-fitting little black dress, while Sanchez opted for a crisp blue suit.

Longoria admitted she was dating Sanchez after months of speculation when she appeared on "Extra" with her best friend and the show's host, Mario Lopez.

"Mark and I are, you know, fine," Longoria said. "We're just happy, just dating."

Lopez tried to get Longoria to open up even more on the red carpet of the ALMA Awards this weekend in Pasadena, Calif., asking the actress, "how did you meet Mark Sanchez and what did you find attractive about him?"

She didn't answer that or any other questions about her personal life, but she did reveal she will soon add another line to her resume - director. She'll be behind the camera for a few episodes of the upcoming series "Devious Maids," which she is executive producing with Marc Cherry, who created the series that made Longoria famous, "Desperate Housewives."

"Devious Maids" was originally pitched to ABC, but that network turned it down. The show is now set to air on Lifetime sometime in 2013.
