The cast of Hot Tub Time Machine 2 walked the red carpet at the Regency Village Theater this week at the film's Los Angeles premiere.

Stars Rob Corddry, Craig Robinson, Clark Duke, Adam Scott, and Gillian Jacobs were all smiles as they posed together in front of a replica hot tub outside the theatre.

Based on the 2010 comedy, this sequel follows Lou (Corddry), Nick (Robinson), and Jacob (Duke) as they again attempt to travel into the past via a hot tub time machine. Their plans are thrown into chaos, however, when the gang finds that they've accidentally landed in the future. There they meet Adam Yates Jr. (Scott) in the year 2025 and learn that they must stop events in the future to keep the past from subsequently unraveling.

Corddry has joked on a few occasions about the "science" of time travel in the film, claiming he was always fascinated with traveling through time as a kid. When it came to making the movie, however, they decided not to get too hung up on making any of it seem plausible. Their time machine is, after all, a hot tub.

So far the film has gotten mixed reviews from critics. It's too soon for box office numbers to be in, though the film does benefit from not having to compete with any other debut R-rated comedies being released this weekend.

Hot Tub Time Machine 2 is scheduled to hit theatres on Feb. 20.
