He remembered who he was as he went under anesthesia for brain surgery meant to remove Helena's (Constance Towers) controlling device, but Jake Doe/Jason Morgan's (Billy Miller) life may now be hanging in the balance once again-and the truth of who he is could die with him on General Hospital.

Jake's True Identity Is Revealed

He began to hemorrhage during his surgery, and a short while later, Patrick (Jason Thompson) left the OR-and now, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Carly (Laura Wright) want answers as to how he fared during the operation.

"Is Jake going to be okay?" Carly asks Patrick in a preview clip for the Friday, Feb. 20 episode.

Jake Makes A Controversial Decision

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) meanwhile, went to see Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) after the surgery-and walked in as he threatened Helena he would tell her the truth about Jake's identity. Now, Liz will want answers about why Helena was asking him to lie.

"What did Helena want you to lie to me about?" she asks Nikolas in the clip.

Meanwhile, Maxie (Kirsten Storms) is dealing with a huge romantic dilemma. She learned when Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) arrived back in Port Charles with their daughter that he and Ellie had broken up-and was shocked when he admitted he wanted them to be a family again.

Now, she will confide in Lulu (Emmee Rylan) as she struggles with figuring out if she's better suited with Spinelli or Nathan (Ryan Paevy).

"Spinelli said he wants to be a family," she says to Lulu in the clip.

And as she struggles, Spinelli will too, as he is reminded of just who his competition for Maxie is.

"How am I supposed to compete with that?" he says to himself in the clip after seeing a shirtless Nathan running.

General Hospital airs Monday-Friday at 3 p.m. on ABC.
