Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed, the other two films adaptations of E.L. James' erotic trilogy, will be released in the near future. New details have emerged, and apparently James wants more control.

On Thursday, Variety reported that there has been a delay in the production because Universal executives and James have yet to reach an agreement regarding the new film.

According to the site, James wants to write the Fifty Shades Darker script and it looks like screenwriter Kelly Marcel won't be back for the second installment.

It is believed that due to James' lack of experience as a screenwriter, the entire process could take way longer than expected and it looks like the issue between the author and the executives at Universal Pictures could cause some creative changes in the near future.

"The studio had always intended to sit down with the author after the film opened and discuss next steps, and that has not yet happened," said a Universal spokesman.

Due to all of the uncertainty, it has been predicted that Fifty Shades Darker probably won't begin filming until the early months of 2016. It is believed that the sequel probably won't hit theaters until late 2016 or early 2017. Either way, fans are eager to see the new sequel, and they hope the film is ready soon.

Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed are set to be released some time in the near future. Official release dates have yet to be confirmed, so be sure to check in for more updates.
