Demi Lovato shocked television viewers on Monday, Sept.17 when she appeared on "Conan" with her boss and co-host Simon Cowell and called him an "a**hole" on air live.
The following day, Lovato debuted a lighter blonde hairstyle with a new haircut featuring blunt bangs.
"Guess what's back, back, back, back again..... BANGS are back, back, back tell your friends....", Demi tweeted.
The night before, the former Disney star sat down with Cowell to promote Season 3 of "X Factor USA" which premiered on Wednesday, Sept. 12.
Host Conan O'Brien began the witty banter between his two guests when he asked Lovato what she thought of Cowell's tight white t-shirts.
"We're trying to reach a younger demographic, and I don't feel we're going to accomplish that when he's showing more cleavage than Britney [Spears] and I are," said Lovato.
When Simon said it would be best for her and Spears to show their cleavage, Lovato replied: "I'm good, thank you!"
The pop singer then joked that Cowell "could braid his chest hair."
"Tell her to stop picking on me, please," Cowell replied.
Later, the music and television mogul turned to Lovato and said, "You are very annoying. How's that?"
The "Camp Rock" star fired back, "You can be a bit of an a**hole! How's that?"
The 20-year-old has always had a penchant to shock her fans.
When the former Disney star attended the handprint ceremony at the Hollywood Walk of Fame last week, she accidentally revealed more than she intended when she bent over in a short skirt.
"The X Factor USA" airs on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8/7c on FOX.
