Teen Wolf's Ryan Kelley is back on set, and fans are itching to find out Jordan Parrish's supernatural secret.

'Teen Wolf' Season 5: Holland Roden Back On Set? Linden Ashby Talks Lydia & Premiere

The deputy received quite a shock in season 4 after he mysteriously survived a fire unscathed, and viewers are hoping that the 20-episode fifth season will provide some answers. Armed with a bestiary, hopefully Lydia (Holland Roden) and Parrish can uncover his true identity.

Even Kelley doesn't know what creature Parrish really is ( a phoenix seems to be the best guess), but the actor addressed the issues as best he could over the hiatus.

'Teen Wolf' MTV: When Will Braeden Return? Meagen Tandy Teases Season 5 Appearance

"Being on Teen Wolf is almost as suspenseful as watching Teen Wolf! We hardly ever know much more about the big plot twists than the audience does. Whenever we get a new script it's like opening a present on Christmas," Kelley told Hypable. "I may or may not be a bit more informed these days, but I really want to hear what the fans are thinking I might turn out to be."

Whatever the case, Parrish will still be Sheriff Stilinski's (Linden Ashby) right hand man in the premiere (see photo above). An inability to die would be a major boon for the former soldier and current cop, but series creator warns fans that the character might not be as immortal as viewers believe.

"I think a lot of people will want to know, including Ryan Kelley," teased series creator Jeff Davis on the "Perishable" edition of Wolf Watch. "We keep a lot of secrets, and often times we keep secrets from the actors. But I will say it's very interesting whether he's impervious to all things or just to impervious to fire or whether it's something else."
