When Kate Middleton visited the West Midlands as part of her charity work supporting vulnerable children, one toddler was so amazed by the Duchess of Cambridge that she felt compelled to give her an unexpected high-five.

On Wednesday, Birmingham Mail mentioned that during the high-five moment, a flash of cameras went off to capture the situation through photos as well.

The video shows Middleton listening intently to what another adult is saying to her when the tiny tot walks right up to, interrupts the conversation and requests a high-five by putting her hand up.

Middleton reciprocates immediately by high-fiving her and then giving her a thumbs-up as she runs away smiling. The entire room reacted in smiles and laughter.

Middleton can be seen wearing a blue, floral dress with navy blue heels. She accessorized with a watch on one arm and a bracelet on the other, She wore her hair in a half-up-half-down style.

This isn't the first event she has attended for her missing to support at-risk and vulnerable children.

She went to Action for Children's Cape Hill Children's Centre in Smethwick and a pottery factory in Stoke-on-Trent which creates designer mugs to raise fund for a children's hospice.

In Smethwick, Middleton met with families who have faced difficult circumstances llike domestic violence and serious health problems, and to learn how Action for Children has helped them.
