John Travolta got a second chance at this year's Oscars, and he more than made up for completely messing up Idina Menzel's name at the event last year.

Travolta's infamous slip-up at the 2014 Oscars, when he mispronounced Menzel's name while introducing her on stage, as Adele Dazeem, is not forgotten. As he rectified his mistake at this year's ceremony, introducing his co-presenter in a fawningly affectionate manner. "My daring, my beautiful, my wickedly talented Idina Menzel," he said, while holding her face endearingly.  "I hope this is not going to follow me for the rest of my life," she jokingly responded, referring to last year's blunder. "Tell me about it!" Travolta added. The social media universe was rife with jokes about his gaffe from last year, and it seems like people aren't forgetting anytime soon.

A hilarious meme also emerged from this as a Twitter user posted an image of Travolta looking toward Benedict Cumberbatch, who is seated near Travolta.

"I'm going to kill you Brendadirk Cramplscrunch," he captioned the image.

The actor has also become the butt of jokes this year for his creepy photo op with Scarlette Johansson on the red carpet. In the picture he is seen awkwardly leaning in for a kiss, as Johansson looks visibly uncomfortable.
