On Thursday, ABC News reported that Queen Elizabeth needs a chauffeur and that Buckingham Palace has now posted a job listing for it.

The Queen's chauffeur will be expected to work 48 hours each week over five days, Monday to Sunday. There is apparently no rest for the speedy.

The salary is $37,000 per year including meals and a total of 33 vacation days. Is the nearly 50-hour work week worth it?

But don't start applying yet. The Queen's chauffuer will be required to do a bit more than just drive her around.

The chauffuer is required to maintain all coaches and cars in outstanding condition, work with a busy and supportive team driving members of the Royal Family, household officials, guests and official visitors, assist with daily administration and management of the Royal News Garage, and play an integral part in the "smooth daily running of the Royal Household."

The Queen's chauffuer will also be a live-in employee and will receive a 15% employer contribution pension scheme.

To be qualified for this position, applicants must hold a full UK driving license with professional driving experience, be a team player, have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, have strong attention to detail, be organized and attentive, plan efficient routes and remain calm under pressure, be motivater and adaptable to a busy and varied workload.

The Royal Family is incredibly busy and it looks like their new chauffuer will need to be able to keep up. But they are in no rush to find one since the posting doesn't close until August 3rd.
