Apple fans waited excitingly for the release of the iOS 6 software, with its promised more than 200 new features, but now that it is here, many are complaining about it and noting evident flaws in the new operating system.

For starters, Apple said there navigation application, Apple Maps, was supposed to boost advanced features like turn-by-turn navigation and a 3D Flyover, according to the International Business Times. However, users have complained that the new system provides "inaccuracies and misplaced towns" and many are disappointed that it serves no public transportation directions, according to the publication.

Apple Maps was rumored to be a new start for Apple after they severed ties with Google, which supplied Google Maps for previous iOS models.

In additon, many have complained that the iOS 6 Passbook is not working.

The new operating system by Apple was released on Wednesday afternoon, and immediately had thousands of iOS users upgrading to the new software. However, within hours there were users taking to social media sites to complain that one of the new features Apple had been boasting about - the Passbook - was not working.

The Passbook is supposed to turn the Apple mobile devices into a type of digital wallet, so that users are able to organize and store items such as tickets, loyalty cards, coupons, and gift cards.
