The season finale of Downton Abbey is going to bring out some tension as the families learn to accept each other.

A sneak peek was released on Friday as the Crawleys and Lords go on a hunt gathering. What seems like a joyous event has a bit of discomfort when Lady Mary tries to reason with Lord Sinderby about Rose. He realizes that Mary's father is not happy with the fact that Sinderby isn't willing to accept Rose under his roof, likely because of the split in the girl's parents.

Mary explains that if he just accepted the situation for what it was, then there would be less of an issue to deal with. But he can't pretend like it doesn't bother him even if it does mean that much to Mary. She tries to make it about Rose, but it just doesn't work out.

Meanwhile, things are looking a little cheerier for Lady Sinderby and Tom who are paired up on the hunt. They talk about shooting and how he used to shoot pigeons when he was a boy. She jokingly tells him how much of a challenge that must have been bringing them both to a small chuckle.

But Sinderby asks Tom a question about the family leading to curiosity on how welcoming everyone truly is with all these new changes.
