Lady Gaga Admits Weight Gain, 25 Pounds And 'I Don't Feel Bad About It'

When Lady Gaga took the stage in Amsterdam for one of her concerts, fans noticed that the "Telephone" singer has put on some extra weight and with reports speculating that perhaps she's pregnant or on a "drunk diet," Gaga herself has come out to put the rumors to rest.

"I love eating pasta and pizza," Gaga told radio host Elvis Duran. "I'm a New York Italian girl. That's why I have been staying out of New York. My father [Joe Germanotta] opened a restaurant. It's so amazing ... it's so freaking delicious, but I'm telling you I gain five pounds every time I go in there."

"My dad wants me to eat at the restaurant, and I'm, like, I've got to go where I can drink green juice," she added.

According to the singer herself, she put on roughly 25 pounds, which is now is trying to shed. 

"I'm dieting right now, because I gained, like, 25 pounds. And you know I really don't feel bad about it, not even for a second," Gaga said. "I have to be on such a strict diet constantly. It's hard because it's a quite vigorous show, so I tend to bulk up, get muscular, and I really don't like that. So I'm trying to find a new balance."

The Sun reported that many experts have surfaced stating that perhaps Gaga's weight gain is a result of her love for alcohol. She has admitted in the past to prefer a  "drunk diet" over food. 

"I am on the drunk diet. I like to drink whiskey and stuff while I am working," Gaga admitted in 2011. "But the deal is I've got to work out every day, and I work out hungover if I am hungover."

The singer received backlash in 2008 where she first rose to fame with a much tinnier frame. Now, there is a noticable difference in appearance between Gaga in these recent photos and, say, her almost naked and much thinner body in her past music videos, such as "Bad Romance."
