'Hawaii Five-0' Season 5 Spoilers: Gabriel Waincroft Is The Next Wo Fat? Daniel Dae Kim Explains [VIDEO]
Hawaii Five-0's Gabriel Waincroft is no angel, but the Chin's brother-in-law may soon become even more villainous than ever.
Mr. Waincroft (Christopher Sean) reentered the story earlier in season 5 when he lent Danny (Scott Caan) and Chin (Daniel Dae Kim) a heft $5.5 mill, and his name will be dredged up once more when Chin starts to feel the repercussions of Danny's failed mission to save his brother.
"It seems like whatever Chin does that's questionable comes back to haunt him in some ways," Kim said, according to TV Guide. "There will be repercussions ... You might be witnessing something of an origin story here."
As far as Kim's teaser's indicate, this defiantly won't be a hero's origin story. Instead, the actor belives writers may try to set up Waincroft as Five-0's next most wanted, a la Wo Fat.
o me, there are parallels between this character and Wo Fat," Kim told TV Guide. "I think seeds are being planted. ... [Wo Fat] was... such an important part of the Hawaii Five-0 mythology. I think, in some ways, what it marks is the start of Stage 2 for our version of Hawaii Five-0."
