Natalie Portman Spotted With Son Aleph And Her Parents on Outing [PHOTOS]

Natalie Portman hit the gym in Los Feliz, Calif., on Thursday, Sept. 20, and she had an entourage tagging along with her.

Photographers spotted the Academy Award-winning actress, 31, as she arrived for a workout accompanied by her 1-year-old son Aleph and her parents, Shelley Stevens and Avner Hershlag.

Portman looked casual in a white T-shirt, jeans and cat-eye sunglasses as she toted around her golden-haired son.

Aleph is Portman's first child with her husband, 35-year-old dancer and choreographer Benjamin Millepied. The couple met on the set of "Black Swan," in which Millepied choreographed the dance numbers and Portman played a paranoid ballerina, the role that won her the Oscar for Best Actress.

Portman and Millepied first began dating in 2009. In December 2010, the couple announced their engagement and pregnancy. Aleph Portman-Millepied was born in June 2011, and the couple married in an intimate ceremony in Big Sur, Calif., in August of this year.

Portman recently continued her history of political activism by supporting President Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, N.C. In 2008, she first supported Hillary Clinton during the Democratic primary but later embraced Obama after he secured the party's nomination for the general election.

The actress most recently appeared on the silver screen in "Thor" in 2011. She has three projects in the pipeline, including the sequel "Thor: The Dark World" as well as "Knight of Cups" and an untitled new film from Terrence Malick. Those three movies are set to premiere sometime in 2013.

A friend of Portman's reported to Us Weekly that the actress has become more selective when choosing her film roles, and she only wants to accept parts that are worth taking time away from her son.

"Natalie is being super choosy about her projects and taking more time off from acting," the source said. "She has this glow about her these days. There's been a change in her since the little man arrived."
