It's safe to say last night's episode of Fox's series Empire was an explosive one; especially as the oldest son Andre tried to take his life. Actor Trai Byers revealed it will get only more intense for his character.

Andre is often in the background of the drama as his two brothers Hakeem and Jamal go head-to-head to be the stars of Empire Entertainment. But Andre made it clear he no longer wants to lurk in the shadows in his father, Lucious' company.

He shocked viewers when he sat in a dark room and put a gun to his head. He pulled the trigger but there were no bullets. He then began to scream.

This wasn't the first time that Andre, who has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, had an intense scene on the show. On a previous episode viewers saw him break down in fully clothed in the shower, revealing just how deep his issues are.

Byers spoke with Vulture magazine Wednesday (Feb. 25) and said fans will see much more.

"If you think the shower scene was something, you have seen nothing yet. It gets dark. This week, you're going to see something that I don't know if we've seen on televsiion, at the hands of Andre. It really goes there."

One person who knows Andre better than anyone is his wife Rhonda. Byers said that while they seem to be the two villains of the show, their relationship is the healthiest on the series.

"[It's] the most pure, fully functional [one] ont hes how. Twisted though it may be, they are completely ride or die."
