American Horror Story alum Taissa Farmiga is joining another anthology series, putting her future with the horror show in question.

'American Horror Story' Star Sarah Paulson Wins Big Award for 'Freak Show'

Farmiga has signed on to a new ABC anthology series called L.A. Crime, according to a new report by The Hollywood Reporter. She has signed a one-year deal for the show that will presumably film through the year.

The series centers on true-crime with the first season featuring two cops (obviously in Los Angeles) who are investigating a serial killing team similar to Bonnie and Clyde. Farmiga is playing Karen, a Berkley graduate who hangs around with a rock 'n' roll crowd who winds up in a dangerous situation with one killer named Clark.

Should Evan Peters Take Over As Sole Lead of 'American Horror Story'?

Previously, Farmiga had starred in the first season of American Horror Story as Violet Harmon, a complicated teenager moving into a haunted house with her family. She would then return for American Horror Story: Coven where she took on a more significant role as Zoe Benson, a witch with the ability to kill her partners during intercourse.

She sat out of season 2, Asylum, and the most recent season, Freak Show.

Now with the buzz of Lady Gaga joining the cast of American Horror Story season 5, titled Hotel, there was some speculation on if Farmiga would return. However, this news seems to suggest that she will not be able to star in AHS: Hotel.

American Horror Story: Hotel is slated to debut in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
