Tim McGraw is heading back to Nashville this year for one pretty big reunion.

Tim McGraw Inspires New Generation To Appreciate Legendary Country Singer

It's been six years since the Meanwhile Back At Mama's singer performed a solo show in the area, but that is all about the change. On Wednesday Taste Of Country announced that McGraw has officially scheduled a concert for Aug. 15.

The performance will be included as part of his 2015 Shotgun Rider Tour and will take place at The Bridgestone Arena. McGraw began his career in Nashville over 20 years ago and likely looks forward to his big return. Though he's performed in the city a number of times over the last few years, this will be his first solo performance in quite awhile.

McGraw's schedule shows that he will begin his trek across the country in March with the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo in Texas on March 10. From there he will go on to the Stagecoach Festival in California and the Verizon Arena in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The singer's last scheduled performance for the year will be at the Verizon Wireless Ampitheatre in California on Sep. 19.

McGraw decided to begin his tour later than usual this year in order to spend time with his family. The singer is married to fellow country artist Faith Hill and they have three daughters together, the eldest of whom it about to finish off her senior year of high school. McGraw hopes to spend more time together with their daughters this spring before the eldest heads to college.
