Actress Stana Katic has been starring in ABC's Castle for seven seasons now, but she may leave it all behind for a surprising career change.

'Castle' Stars Nathan Fillion & Stana Katic's Future With Show Still Up In The Air?

Katic, who plays Beckett on Castle, spoke with Glamour's Jessica Radloff at the Film Independent Spirit Awards last weekend where she revealed that she actually might want to take up rapping.

"I really want to learn how to rap," she told the magazine. "I know it sounds utterly ridiculous!"

She added, "I like anything by 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg. I love the way they mouth their way around words. I'm not an aficionado, but I would like to learn!"

Radloff suggested that the two of them take up rapping together.

"I think that would be great!" Katic replied. "If we could go on a journey and an adventure of how to become rappers that would be amazing. If we're gonna learn, we're gonna learn from the masters!"

Radloff suggested that she would go by "J-Rad" and Katic added, "Kinectic would be good! Kinectic Katic is deep! I love it!"

While Katic may not be entirely serious about the sudden career change, it is interesting timing considering she and fellow Castle star Nathan Fillion have yet to renegotiate their contracts beyond this season. There is still a question of whether ABC will pick up the show again for season 8, and the decision may not take place until May.

Castle airs Mondays at 10 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
