The message has already been retweeted 20,000 times as of Friday afternoon.

Gaga had announced through a video on her Twitter account that she would be a part of season 5, also revealing the theme of the new season in the process. Season 5 of American Horror Story will apparently be called Hotel and it is set in the present day, like previous seasons Murder House and Coven.

It is unknown if Gaga will become the new lead of the show, but if so, she will have to fill some big shoes. Jessica Lange has been the lead of the past three seasons of American Horror Story and has received near universal acclaim for her performances.

Either way, Gaga's inclusion in the the new season should likely give the show a new life force in the wake of Lange's departure.

American Horror Story: Hotel is slated to premiere in October on FX, though the network has not yet announced a specific premiere date.
